The love of the undead
Some months after PS Vita has been launched, we've seen limited selection of game genres. The first batch of games that were released for Vita were not enough to convinced playstation fans or just gamers in general to get Vita. Given that PS Vita’s market is getting low, at the looks of it they are doing lots of tricks such as different packages. But this scenario is changing due to the press releases being published all over the internet. Big games… big expectations…
It’s been some weeks since I started poking around forums and started checking out people’s reasons for buying a Vita. Dokuro, one of the games that have been suggested to me caught my interest. Dokuro is a puzzle-platformer which recently announced by GungHo Online.
First thing potential players would ever noticed about Dokuro is its visuals, which is the game’s highest point. Settings of the game are pretty fulfilling; mad boss, princess being captured and a little skeleton trying to rescue the princess. In order to progress, you have to make the safe way for the princess who is totally dependent on you. At first I thought the princess stops walking whenever dokuro is on his Prince transformation, but sadly it’s not the case. The princess was designed just to keep walking forward whether something would kill her like spikes, fire or even a falling platform. YES, it’s really annoying but that’s the challenge of it, you have to escort the helpless princess from point A to B. Countless times, you will be restarting a certain save point/level because the princess becomes stuck where a crate needs to drop, but again this is not a bad thing; while frustrating, it is also extremely motivating to keep that silly broad from mucking up her own escape while mastering each and every level layout.
Skeleton and Prince
So Dokuro has 2 forms; normal mode is the little skeleton, which can double jump and bash enemies away but cannot kill them. Second is the handsome prince who can carry the princess whenever there’s obstacles, and can kill enemies. The transformation occurs upon using the potion that also cools down on a certain time when not in use.
Based from some reviews and guides I've read there are 3 different chalks
The chalk is the tool that can help you manipulate your surroundings.
White = to repair the broken ropes to move the boulders or platform
Red = create a fuse to light up fire woods or ignite an explosive barrel.
Blue = a line forms a water surface to lift the wooden boxes.
Early boss Fight
There will be a number of level/save points with a boss at the end. Even though you’re on your beginner’s stage you still need to face a boss monster. While fighting with the boss, there are still tricks that you need to discover to help you defeat the boss.
Dokuro sure helps people to improve on their puzzle-solving skills. YES this game is somewhat frustrating but that will motivates you to solve the puzzle more.

Luckily from the first launching of Puzzle and Dragons US version on November 08, 2012, I tried and downloaded it right away. According to the news from my friends on Japan, puzzle and dragons became a big hit in Japan on iOS ipads applications. I am living outside the US but I’ve been able to get it from apps store even though P&D is not available outside us residents (technology on its finest!).
Puzzle and Dragons is a game with a combination of monster killings in the form of puzzle action in which damage is based on the elements of the mobs and your monster element and the combo you are doing on the puzzle gems.
There are 5 elements in the game; Water, Fire, Tree, Dark, Light
Water > Fire (Water is strong against Fire)
Fire > Tree (Fire is strong against Tree)
Tree > Water (Tree is strong against Water)
Dark > Light (Dark is strong against Light)
Light > Dark (Light is strong against Dark)
I have chosen Fire since I think the monster looks strong (Dragon) and from the element itself, im thinking that
Fire resembles toughness and the monster avatar is awesome..
Oh by the way, im already rank 15 and evolved my tyran to tyrannos
The catch is play the game, make a good combo, get the monster eggs and earns magic stones to be able to get some rare monsters in which you can also use as 1 of your monster team to defeat other strong monsters. Playing the game reminds me of the tv cartoon pokemon, the only difference is pokemon comes in pokeball unlike puzzle and dragon, monsters came up in an egg. Every time I got egg lots, it gives excitement to me, especially the rare eggs in which sometimes can be looted in the rare egg machine using your magic stone and not that rare one on pal eggs.
By the way, my monster team composes all the elements
Don’t forget to see the requirements on your monster evolve fusion to be able to evolve your monster to the next stage. Also keep in mind that you need to maximize your monster level to be able to evolve your monsters.

1. Monster Type: This descriptive text basically tells you what kind of Monster you are dealing with. These can range from Evo Material, to Attacker or Healer. Their titles often give clues about their roles in battle. This particular character is good for healing - not attacking! Attackers typically have low HP and RCV, but more than make up for it with a high ATK value. Dragons are usually well balanced with relatively high marks in all 3 primary stats. Evolution and Enhance Materials aren’t meant to follow you into battle; instead, their role is to strengthen your team through Fusion.
2. Stats: Your primary stats are HP, ATK and RCV.
HP: How much HP this monster contributes to your team's total HP.
ATK: When 3 Orbs of this Monster's Attribute are lined up, this is the base damage the Monster will deliver. The monster’s attribute is indicated by the colored Orb icon in the top left corner of its portrait
RCV: This particular Monster's contribution to your Team’s healing potential (explained in next image).
3. Leveling Info: This indicates the leveling potential of the current Monster as well as its Cost when added to your team. The sum of all selected Monsters cannot exceed your Team Cost value (this will be shown in the next image).
4. SKL: This is the skill you use by tapping the Monster's portrait in battle as soon as it's activated. The "Lv.1" refers to the ability's potency (which can be increased through Power up Fusion), and the "Turn: 10" indicates how soon the ability can be used. In this case, you must take at least 10 turns before you can use this SKL.
5. Leader Skill: This is a passive ability that is always active if the chosen Monster is in your Leader slot. You can also take advantage of your Friends' Leader Skills if you choose for them to accompany you into a dungeon.
Note: You CANNOT utilize an Explorer's Leader Skill - so if you take one along, try to add them as a Friend afterwards!
Leader: This indicates who your Leader Monster is. This is the Monster whose Leader Skill will be available in battle as well as the Monster that your Friends (and Explorers) will take along if they select you for the Helper slot.
Sub: These are the rest of your Monsters. They will attack if you line up Orbs of their Attribute. You may utilize their SKL, but not their Leader Skills!
Total Cost: Each Monster has an assigned numerical value based on their strengths and abilities. As you Rank Up and increase your total Team Cost, you can take even more powerful Monsters with you into battle!
Total HP: This is your team's total health value. When this number reaches 0, it's GAME OVER!
RCV: This is the combined total of your team’s RCV value. This indicates the base amount of healing done when 3 Heart Orbs are connected.
ATK (for each unique Attribute): This number indicates the total amount of damage that will be done when 3 Orbs of the particular Attribute are connected. Keep in mind, you will rarely see this exact number in battle since it is modified greatly by Combo numbers, Attribute strength/weakness (Fire VS Wood etc.), and finally whether or not you connect more than 3 Orbs in a row. These same modifiers also increase amount of healing you receive.
Leader Skill: This shows the name and description of your currently active Leader Skill.
